Dive Academy's private pool

Dive Academy is the only dive centre on the island with its own private swimming pool! This swimming pool is the perfect place for all dives to learn or practice skills. Qualified divers or beginners, in our swimming pool you get all the time you need to learn the confidence building skills, before heading off to the sea... For the young divers (8 to 10) we can do the Bubblemaker course in the pool, which is lots of FUN!! We are also an Instructor development centre and our IDC candidates have all the time in the world to practice there skills. So from Bubblemaker to Instructor course the pool is the perfect place!!


The pool has a maximum depth of 2. 1m and is 25m long by 10m wide. There is a shallow end of the pool which is . 8m in depth. We also have a children’s pool so they can play with out being in the water with the divers. This way Dive Academy truly is a family dive centre.






Another benefit to having our own private pool is that if you are part of a large group on holiday or living in the Canary Islands, we can help take you all diving together. This way it is safe and you can have fun together!!

In June of 2007 the pool was refurbished and a new filtration system installed. This has meant that the water quality is perfect. It also has solar panel heating which keeps it a constant temperature all year round.

Whilst you are with us you are welcome to use the pool at all times, please make your selves at home and enjoy your time between dives.


Or if you have family and friends who do not dive, then they are more than welcome to spend there day around the pool, relax and enjoy the sunshine!!

It is also a great place for our BBQ and you can see from the photo's "A good time is had by all!!"

Please note:

Pools present a significant risk of infant and toddler death due to drowning. In regions where residential pools are common, drowning is a major cause of childhood fatalities. So it is advisable to closely watch small children around swimming pools, especially private pools that do not have professional lifeguards. Adults are more likely to be aware of risks, but it is still a good idea to have more than one person around when using a private pool.
